Research Interests
One major research direction of my laboratory deals with phenotypic heterogeneity in genetically-identical bacteria. We use various biophysical techniques to characterize single-cell-level behaviors of bacteria experimentally and employ quantitative modeling to better understand the experimental data. As part of this research, we focus on how individual cells in a genetically-identical population may respond to antibiotic treatments differently.
